Please read these rules as well as the information before signing up. This is a special round, you can claim any movie or TV show you want to as long as it fits the theme. This round is dedicated to the 80's. What that means is, you need to claim a character or characters from a movie or show from the 80's.





Guidelines


• Sign ups will be open for the duration of this round.
• You must be a member of LiveJournal and a member of the community to participate.
• Please do not post your icons to this post. Please make your own post and submit it to the community.
• No claim can be chosen more than two times.
• You can change your claim at any time.
• Posting is moderated, once your post is submitted please await approval. If your post has not yet been approved within 48 hours please contact me or comment here.




Show and Movie Guidelines


• Claims can only be claimed 3 times. This is for both movies and shows.
• For shows you can claim: The whole show, a season or a episode.
• For Movies you can claim: A franchise, one movie, one or a couple movies in a franchise.
• NEW - You can now claim a character, group, certain characters or couples in a show or movie. You can do one character or however many you want from your claim, or just the whole movie and all characters. If you're unsure just ask.

Just to clarify, is this event only for TV and film, or are other forms of visual media (like comic books, for example) eligible?

Music Shuffle - Put your music program on shuffle and make an icon based on the first song that plays. Please make a note of what the song is.
Empty + Grey - Your icon must have a solid grey background.
Passion - Show your claim being passionate.
Black + Pink - The main colors of your icons must be black and pink.
Gender Swap - Pick an actor of the opposite sex of your chosen character to play your character.
Text Rotation - Your icon must have some text rotated up to 90º.
OCC/Character - Somehow show your OCC and their character you claimed together. You can achieve this anyway you want.
Symbol - You must feature something that represents your character in the icon. It doesn't has to be an actual symbol, it can be anything that your character is known for, whether is an actual symbol or a personality trait.
Citric - The main color(s) of your icon must be inspired by citric colors.
Profile + Text - Your character must be clearly placed in profile and also incorporate text on it in any way you want.
Video Inspiration - Use any element of the following video as inspiration for your icon.

(5) CATEGORY: Summer (palette) - All five icons must use each of the colors in the following color palette. You will have five different colored icons based on the colors in the color palette and each color should be the main color of the icon.

For further info. First choice would be your first claim with it's movie/show.
Then the second claim is a backup character and show/movie it's in.
I think that's what has been throwing me off.

Is that the actor or character name? Cause I looked it up and said actor.

That's the actors name .... The character is Blackadder, as is the name of the series .... Sorry I confused you

I never could get into that movie, I don't know why. Ferris Bueller's Day Off had been my second choice, before hearing of Wendy's passing so I changed it.
